The Buy Alabama's Best Campaign was formed in 2006 by the Alabama Grocers Association, the Alabama Food Manufacturers and Producers Association and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries. To be a part of the Buy Alabama's Best Campaign your product must be made, manufactured, produced or headquartered in the State and you must be a member of the Alabama Food Manufacturers and Producers Association.
The Mission of the Buy Alabama's Best is to identify and increase awareness of Alabama food products, increase sales of those products as well as raise money for designated charities through partnering with the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Alabama Grocers Association.
In 2020 we will target March and September as Buy Alabama's Best Campaign months. We will ask retailers to sell icons to raise money for local food banks, run ads and put up local product displays. Consumers can identify Alabama products by looking for the Buy Alabama's Best logo shelf tags on the shelves of their local grocery store.
